Namaste all family and friends!
India is absolutely amazing and I am fascinated by all the beautiful people and opportunities we have here. It seems that I could have so many things to talk about but my favorite opportunity, thus far, has been pouring out His love to the people in our neighborhood. I believe that we are completely bl*ss*d to be where we are and it is evident that our father has placed us in our house for a reason. Our father has been opening so man doors and establishing so many relationships right outside of our house.
There are constantly neighborhood children knocking on our door and gates wanting us to play with them at all times of the day. It has been so much fun just to hug them, swing them around, play cricket and other games with them all day.
Also, throughout the past few weeks, I have become good friends with a little girl, Hamanchi, who lives directly behind our house. Every night I have gotten to sit and talk with her outside our back gate and play with her and her siblings during the day. Her mother has started coming out to speak with us as well.
I have also had the privilege of assisting another neighbor, Anshi, study for her english exam, get to know two teenagers, Pooja and Neelm, that live next door, and play cricket with a family around the corner. Whenever we walk around the neighborhood, we constantly get invited to sit down and drink chai or coffee with families. Most of the time, there is a language barrier between us and only a few people can speak English well enough to have a conversation. I am trying to learn Hindi and it is amazing that laughter and a smile can break through any conversation barrier and build friendships.
We are all doing really well, a few girls have gotten sick, but nothing that a day of rest could not fix. I will keep you all posted on further friendships and life here in India. Thank you for lifting us up and continue to pr*y that our father would open up more opportunities to share his love.
